PolaCam ("we", "our", or "the app") is a photo editing application. We take your privacy seriously. This policy explains what data the app accesses, how it is used, and your rights. In short: your photos never leave your device, and we do not collect personal data.

1. Information we do not collect

PolaCam does not require an account and does not collect, store, or transmit personal information to us or to any third party. Specifically, we do not collect:

• Your name, email address, or contact information
• Your location
• Analytics, usage tracking, or advertising identifiers
• Your photos or edited images

2. Photos and camera access

To work as a photo editor, PolaCam requests access to your camera and photo library:

• Camera — used only to take a photo inside the app so you can apply film effects.
• Photo library — used only to let you choose photos to edit and to save your edited images back to your device.

All image processing happens locally on your device. Your photos are never uploaded to any server and are never shared with us or any third party. You can grant or revoke these permissions at any time in your device's Settings.

3. Data stored on your device

PolaCam stores some data locally on your device so the app remembers your preferences, such as:

• Your favorite film presets and custom recipes
• Imported and shared presets
• Recent edits and app settings

This information is kept only on your device. It is not accessible to us. Deleting the app removes this data.

4. Importing and sharing presets

PolaCam lets you import preset files (such as .xmp, .lrtemplate, or PolaCam preset files) and share presets you create. These files are processed locally on your device. Sharing uses your device's standard share sheet, and you control where files are sent.

5. Children's privacy

PolaCam does not knowingly collect any personal information from children. Because the app does not collect personal data at all, it is suitable for users of all ages.

6. Third-party services

PolaCam does not integrate advertising networks or analytics SDKs. When you save or share an image, your device's own operating system features (photo library, share sheet) handle the action under their own policies.

7. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
